Mélanie

I'm working here for nearly 3 weeks as waitress, selling the cakes and doing coffees. I like this job because everybody is really nice, and I really like meeting the customers. I'm eating so many cakes, which is really not good for me, but I'm trying to stop... yep, trying only, it's not so easy.

The cooker, Geoffrey, is australian. He's really funny, amazing because he is working every day from early in the morning to the night. Lot of work for him.

In the kitchen there is also Loic, a french guy here with a working holiday visa as well, some korean girls and Olmo, the italian cleaning guy.

In the shop there was Virginie and Mathieu, both french. Now they left to keep travelling, Mathieu with a friend by car and Virginie in New Zealand with a friend as well. They were really nice and funny, I miss them.
Now there is :

- Gabriela, a really nice german girl, speaking a really good rench. I'm not saying bad things about her because she's reading what I'm writing, I have to be carefull. Seriously she's really funny and friendly, every time here to help, do a tea for me when I'm sick... She is studying in Sydney.

- Rachel, french girl who like to enjoy and make lot of parties! Really nice as well but she's leaving in few days...

- Shirley, israelian girl. She went to the navy for 2 years and she's working a lot. When I'm working with her we have fun together but I feel like I'm not working enought even it's not true.

- For few days there is a new french girl from my backpacker, Berengere. She was in the backpacker in november when I arrived in Australia. She's discovering the cakes and how to do coffees.

The customers are generally nice, there is every day the same and the others.

I will work here until the 6th of july.

Je travaille donc dans une patisserie francaise depuis presque 3 semaines maintenant en tant que vendeuse et serveuse parce qu'on fait un peu cafe aussi avec des tables et on sert des cafes. J'aime ce travail parce que l'ambiance est tres sympas et j'aime le contact avec les clients. Le seul point negatif est que je mange plein de gateaux, ce qui n'est pas bon du tout pour ma ligne. J'essaie d'arreter, mais c'est pas facile...

Le patissier, Geoffrey, est australien, il est sympas, je m'entends bien avec lui. Il bosse 7 jours sur 7 de tot le matin a tard le soir en faisant une petite sieste l'apres midi. Enormement de travail donc.

En cuisine il y a aussi Loic, un francais qui a appris la patisserie en France et qui est ici en working holiday visa aussi. Puis des coreennes et Olmo un italien tres gentil qui nettoie la cuisine tous les apres midi.

Dans le magasin il y avait Virginie et Mathieu, tous les 2 francais tres tres sympas. Mais maintenant ils sont partis pour continuer a voyager, Mathieu avec un copain en voiture et Virgine avec une copine en Nouvelle Zelande pour quelques jours. Ils etaient vraiment adorables, ils me manquent!!! bouhou!!!

Maintenant il y a :

- Gabriela, une allemande vraiment adorable qui parle vraiment bien francais. Je ne dis pas de mauvaises choses parce qu'elle est en train de lire ce que j'ecris alors il faut que je fasse attention. Plus serieusement, elle est vraiment adorable et rigolote, toujours la pour aider et me preparer une bonne tisane quand je suis un peu malade.

- Rachel, une francaise qui profite a fond et fait souvent la fete. Du coup elle est fatiguee souvent mais tres rigolote aussi. Mais elle part a la fin de la semaine pour continuer a voyager.

- Shirley, une israelienne qui a fait la Navy pendant 2 ans. Elle est a fond dans le travail, tres rigoureuse voire trop. On s'entend quand meme tres bien mais quand je travaille avec elle j'ai l'impression de ne pas travailler assez alors que c'est pas vrai.

- Depuis quelques jours il y a Berengere, une francaise de mon backpacker qui etait la en novembre aussi. Elle decouvre ce que c'est de bosser devant une vitrine remplie de gateaux et apprend a faire les cafes.

Les clients sont generalement gentils et en extase devant les gateaux, aiment bien nos petits accents francais.

Je compte travailler la jusqu'au 6 juillet!
