On Sunday I was not working and we wanted to go to Daintree. But in Daintree village there is nothing, we had to take ferry (and to pay for that) to cross the river. So we didn’t because it was already the afternoon. On the way back we saw a sign ‘Orchids Nursery’ at Mossman. We stopped and visited it for 5$. That was a really nice place, so quiet. We saw heaps of orchids and tropical plants. Then we took a free tea&coffee on the terrasse, talking with the man. Soooooooo goooooooood !!!!! Then we had to go but we could stay all the afternoon here. I asked if he was taking wwoofer (WWOOF=working just 4hours a day and we have food and accomodation back), and yes... So I would like to do that in july may be... we’ll see.

On the way back we wanted to see an other one, but we didn’t find it. But we had to cross a river, the river was going on the road. So funny !

Dimanche je ne travaillais pas, et nous voulions voir Daintree. Mais le village est pas terrible, rien a voir, il fallait prendre le ferry pour traverser la rivière et bien sûr payer pour ça. Donc hors de question en plus l’après midi était déjà bien entamé. Sur le chemin retour on a vu un panneau ‘Orchids Nursery’ soit en français direct ‘une infirmerie d’orchidées’ mais bon, en bref il y avait des orchidées de toutes sortes, et quelques unes en vente. Nous l’avons visité pour 5$ avec café et thé offerts. Nous nous sommes donc longuement promenées à l’intérieur, pris plein de photos. C’était magnifique, les orchidées poussent à même le sol… Les plantes tropicales aussi était splendides ! Puis nous avons pris un thé&café sur la terrasse, et parlé un peu avec le monsieur. Je lui ai demandé s’il prennait des wwoofers (vous vous souvenez ? Travailler 4h/jour en échange de nourriture et logement ?) et oui ! Donc je veux y aller en juillet peut être avant que mes parents arrivent à Cairns… je vais plannifier ça !
