We’ve been there after the coffee factories in Mareeba. It’s after Atherton. We stopped first at the information center to ask where the tea factory was. The man and the woman were really nice, shown us the musuem, talked us about the tree kangarous... Really friendly again!

The tea factory was few kms out of the town center. We payed 8$ and the asian woman shown us the factory but we couldn’t take pictures. We had a little book to read in front of each step because it was too noisy. The woman was really nice and funny and to see a tea factory as well. Then we bought lot of tea in the shop, it was not expensive at all. There was Malaysian tea as well from her sister.

Nous sommes allées ici après avoir visité Mareeba. C’est juste un peu après Atherton. Nous nous sommes d’abord arrêtées au centre d’information pour demander où c’était. Et là nous avons été accueillies par un monsieur et une dame trop trop gentils. Ils nous ont fait visiter le mini musée du centre, parler du ‘tree kangarou’ soit le kangourou des arbres… Bref trop sympas.

A la fabrique de thé, nous avons payé 8$ pour la visiter. Une dame asiatique rigolote nous a fait la visite. Nous étions munies d’un livret à lire devant chaque étape de fabrication parce que c’était trop bruyant. Il y avait à l’intérieur une odeur vraiment très agréable. Après ça on a acheté plein de thé car c’était vraiment pas cher (genre 1$60 la boite de 20 sachets…) ainsi que du thé Malaysien de la sœur de la dame en question.
