Today we left Innisfail !

Yesterday was my last working day. When I woke up, I saw the toilets’ cleaning man and made him big signs. So he came and we talked may be 15min about everything for the last time. He was nice, and overall once he found my powered toothbrush in the toilets, was on the way to through it away but first asked me, and that was mine!!! Few years ago I helped a german backpacker, giving her the money to go to hospital for her eyes. Then she gave him the money back when she could work. And since that, they kept in touch with her family. So he’s been in Europe to visit them, came in France as well. Really I felt that he was really nice and that this story is really important to him. Then last day at ABC! We were a lot to finish work this day, that was nice, taking pictures... When I came back from work to the carpark I saw Kim, the fisherman. So the same I went to talk with him. He offered us some glasses of ‘Woodstock’ which is Bourbon-Cola, not bad at all! And we talked a lot as well. He was always here to help us if we needed something. And everytime he was fishing a good fish he was really proud and was coming to show us the fish.

This morning I changed the oil of our car by myself!!! Yep I did!!! We first wanted to go to a garage but we met 2 guys who did that, I checked on the car book and it seemed really easy. And it was!!!! The filter had been changed last changing oil, so we didn’t change it. We saved some money which was not bad! Then we told good bye to everybody : we’ll miss Ivan and Yannick our young Marijuana (don’t know how to write that) smokers, they were really funny ; we’ll not miss Mario and Julien...(no coment, they were not funny at all) We went to ABC to get my payslip, take pictures and tell good bye, then to Queensland Transport office where Flo payed her fine, and we stopped to Yaëlle backpacker to eat with her and tell good bye as well.

Aujourd’hui nous sommes parties d’Innisfail !!!

Hier c’était mon dernier jour de travail. Quand je me suis reveillée, le monsieur qui nettoyait les toilettes du parking était là et je lui ai fait de grands signes. Il est venu et on a discuté 15 bonnes minutes de plein de choses une dernière fois. Il était très gentil et surtout il avait retrouvé ma brosse à dent électrique et m’avait demandé si c’était pas à l’un d’entre nous… OUF !!! Il avait comme parrainé une jeune voyageuse allemande comme nous il y a quelques temps en lui donnant l’argent pour se faire opérer des yeux. Elle lui a rendu quand elle a pu travailler et depuis ils sont restés en contact avec ses parents et tout et tout. Donc il est allé en Europe leur rendre visite, venu dans le sud ouest de la France aussi… Bref, ça l’a beaucoup marqué, on sent qu’il est très gentil et serviable. Puis dernier jour à ABC !!! Nous étions nombreux à arrêter ce jour là, c’était chouette, on a pris des photos etc. Quand je suis revenue au parking il y avait Kim le pêcheur ! Pareil, avec Flo il nous aimait bien et nous avons discuté avec lui un moment. Je suis allée lui faire une commission : du Woodstock, une bouteille de Bourbon-Coca, en échange nous avons eu droit à quelques verres avec Flo. Et c’est pas mauvais du tout. Il était aussi très gentil, toujours là quand on avait besoin de quelque chose et d’aide. Et quand il pêchait un gros poisson, il était fier de venir nous le montrer, c’était rigolo.

Ce matin j’ai fait la vidange de la voiture tout seule ! Et si si c’est vrai ! Nous voulions aller dans un garage mais les bretons qui sont venus squatter le parking avec nous se la sont faite. Du coup j’ai jeté un coup d’œil au guide de la voiture et ça avait l’air super facile, et ça l’était ! Le filtre avait été changé à la vidange précédente donc nous ne l’avons pas fait. Nous avons économisé quelques sous donc c’est cool ! Puis les au revoir : Ivan et Yannick, nos jeunes fumeurs de cannabis vont nous manquer, ils était vraiment rigolo ; les bretons un peu moins… (no coment). Premier arrêt à ABC pour récupérer ma fiche de paye, faire des photos et dire au revoir. Puis au bureau du Queensland Transport pour que Flo paye son amende. Et enfin au backpacker de Yaelle pour manger avec elle et lui dire au revoir.
