At 7am everybody was ready to go ! We were 27 or 3 teams of 9 people each. They called each team to get the food and go to the 4WD rental office. There we checked everything, camping gears, food etc... So informations about how to drive a 4WD on the sand, beach etc.

In my team there was Laurence/Steven/Sebastien (belgium), Chloe (England), Ross/Tim (England), Tom (US) and me and Florine. We were a really good team!!!!

After 20 minutes of ferry let’s go to Fraser !!!! Steven started to drive, he was a really good driver.

First stop at Central Station. We walked until Wanggodba Creek and took our first team picture. Then we went to Eurong but we missed a lake. So we came back to Central Station. Here we joined the 2 other teams but they told us it was too far... So let’s go back to Eurong where we went to the beach to drive! Here the road is the beach !!! Planes are landing there as well. We went further and saw a lookout over the dunes. Then we went to Cornwells Beach Campsite to build the tents and sleep. We wanted to go the lake Wabby but it was too late and night was coming very fast.

There we saw lot of dingos walking around to get some food. But we can’t give them food. Big party on the night!

A 7h du matin tout le monde était prêt. Nous étions 27 soit 3 équipes de 9. Ils ont appelé les équipes une par une pour donner la nourriture et nous amener au bureau des locations de 4x4 où nous avons vérifié tout le matériel de camping, nourriture etc… Après quelques conseils de conduite nous voilà partis !

Notre équipe se composait de Laurence/Steven/Sébastien (Belgique), Chloe/Ross/Tim (Angleterre), Tom(USA) et nous. C’était une vraiment très bonne équipe.

Après 20 minutes de ferry, nous voici sur Fraser !!!!!! Youhouuu !!! Steven conduit le premier, il assure grave !

Premier arrêt à Central Station où nous avons marché jusqu’à Wanggodba Creek et où nous avons fait nos premières photos de groupe.

Ensuite nous sommes allés à Eurong mais nous avons raté un lac à Central Station. Donc demi tour. Là on retrouve les 2 autres équipes qui nous disent que c’est long et qu’on allait être en retard. Donc on mange et Eurong à nouveau. On s’élance sur la plage ! Ici la route c’est la plage. Même les avions y attérissent. Trop biiien ! Un peu plus loin on a vu un lookout et nous sommes arrêté pour planter les tentes à Cornwells Beach Campsite. Nous voulions aller voir le lac Wabby mais la nuit commençait à tomber très vite !

Nous avions plein de Dingos qui nous rodaient autour pour essayer de grapiller de la nourriture mais on n’a pas le droit de leur en donner. Ce sont des chiens sauvages, habitués certes à l’hommes et de plus en plus avec les touristes, mais il ne faut pas oublié qu’ils sont sauvages, en 2001 un enfant a été tué sur Fraser par un Dingo. Et en 1998, une femme a été accusée à tord du meurtre de son bébé alors qu’il avait été tué par un dingo.

Grosse fête le soir avec tout le monde !
