We wanted to go to the Kakadu National Park, but there was too much rain on the way, so we decided to go directly to Darwin.

We arrived there on 30^th and booked a night at the Elke’s Backpacker. For only 20$ we had a swimming pool, air conditionning, free breakfast, cleaned room with fridge, good kitchen... Very nice backpacker! The first thing we did with Flo was to jump in the swimming pool. Then we decided to stay 3 more nights here because it’s too hot to sleep in the car!

On 31^st we went in town to wal and, do some shopping. Then we had a big rest in the backpacker and in the swimming pool!!!!!! On the evening we made a Korean-French dinner for my birthday. Lisa&Jane made a Korean curry and with Flo we made french crêpes! With Florine we made an experience: put some color in crêpes paste, that was strange but funny!!! Bewteen curry and dessert we’ve been to the swimming pool. I gave to Lisa and Jane swimming lessons, that was funny! Then we hate crêpes in the room. They put the candle we bought for Jane few days ago. And I had a beautifull CareBears T-shirt!!!!! I saw it at Katherine ‘JayJays’ shop, but didn’t buy it. So I was very happy!!

On april 1^st we’ve been to a didgeridoo shop out of the town. The woman teached us to play it. I succeed a little but I need to practice!!! Then we’ve been to a crocodile farm. At first we were thinking that there was false crocodile inside the fence... but in fact when they are going out of the water they are not moving at all and opening their mouse... really strange! Then we saw feeding time. That was funny to see but 10$ for that is too much!!!!!!! We’ve been to Litchfield National Park to see falls and termites mounds. That was nice!

On 2^nd we stayed in town, buying postcards, stamps, souvenirs. We went to the Museum and Art Gallery witch is for free and really really nice! With Lisa and Jane we played and drawed at children space! So funny. We’ve been to a park and back to the backpacker.

Nous voulions aller au Kakadu National Park, mais sur la route il pleuvait comme pas possible donc nous avons décidé d’aller directement à Darwin.

Nous sommes donc arrivées le 30 au soir. Nous avons réservé au Elke’s Backpacker. Pour 20$ on avait la piscine, la clim, chambre nickel avec frigo, petit déjeuner gratuit… Un endroit tranquille et très sympas. La première chose qu’on a faite avec Flo est de plonger dans la piscine de nuit, sous l’orage au loin et la pluie. Ensuite nous avons décidé de rester 3 nuits de plus car dormir dans la voiture dans cette chaleur c’est impossible !

Le 31 nous nous sommes baladées dans la ville et reposées au backpacker. Le soir nous avons fait un repas français-coréen. Lisa et Jane ont cuisiné un curry coréen et avec Flo on a fait des crêpes. Entre les 2 nous sommes allées dans la piscine. J’ai donné des cours de natation à Lisa et Jane, c’était rigolo ! Nous avons mangé les crêpes dans la chambre. Elles avaient ressorti la bougie Bisounours de Jane et j’ai eu la surprise d’avoir un t-shirt bisounours comme cadeau !!! Je l’avais vu dans un magasin à Katherine mais ne l’avait pas acheté. Trop contente !!!!!

Le 1^er avril on a été dans un magasin de Didgeridoo en dehors de la ville. La dame m’a appris à en jouer. J’y suis arrivée un peu mais il faut que je m’entraine. Ensuite nous sommes allées dans une ferme de crocodiles. Au début on croyait qu’ils avaient mis des faux croco dans les enclos, mais en fait non, ils sortent de l’eau et ne bougent plus en ouvrant grand leur bouche !!! Très bizarre. Nous avons assisté au repas… C’était sympas mais 10$ pour ça c’est trop cher. Enfin nous sommes allées au Litchfield National Park voir des cascades et des thermitières d’une taille impressionante !!!! On a été au Museum et Galerie d’Art qui est gratuit et vraiment très bien. Avec Lisa et Jane nous avons joué et dessiné à l’espace des enfants. Trop drole.

Le 2 nous sommes restées en ville, acheté des cartes et timbres et quelques souvenirs. J’ai évité les magasins de Didjeridoo car trop cher et plus trop de sous. Je préfère attendre même si le nord de l’Australie est l’endroit parfait pour en acheter.
