On 25^th evening we decided to go to Alice with the germans girls because it was Jane birthday and we wanted to cook a BBQ with fresh meat !!! So we booked at the Heavitree Campground for only 2 people... instead of 4... that’s cheaper and works really well ! We went to woolworth and Coles (Supermarkets) to buy meat and vegies and a cake and drinks ! With Flo we bought her a Care Bear candle, sparklers and a Maltesers Easter Egg. She was really happy about our surprize !!! All was so good and nice !!! We had lot of laught, we are learning korean langage!

On 26^th morning we went in town : information centre, shopping, internet. I bought 2 books about australian plants and birds. Now I need the australian mammals ! With Flo we started to have a look about Didgeridoos but that’s pretty expensive! Alice Springs seems to be really seperated in 2 parts : the aboriginal one doing nothing in the streed and “white” one working... That’s really surprizing. In the afternoon with Flo we joined Damien, french guy I met in Sydney, and Matt a friend of him. We had a drink at the ‘Saloon’, nice pub where we can put the rubbish on the ground !!! Then we’ve been to the Telegraph Station where we found the way to loose the car in the carpark... LOL !!!!! Then campsite where we saw a really big spider........ Frightening !!!!

On 27^th we went to Mac Donnell Ranges with Lisa, Jane, Flo, Damien and Matt. We saw simpsons Gap. Then we wanted to go to Standley Chasm but we had to pay 8$ just to walk. So finally we decided to pic nic and go back in town. In Alice we had a coffee with the boys, then we made food shopping and saw a last time the germans who were taking a different way until Cairns. We could do a part of the road together but we had to be faster than them.

Le 25 au soir nous sommes allées au même camping que les allemandes parce que c’était l’anniversaire de Jane, donc on voulait faire un BBQ avec de la viande. Donc nous avons reservé 2 nuits au camping Heavitree pour seulement 2 personnes au lieu de 4… ça fait faire des économies et ça marche trop bien ! Après nous avons fait une session Woolworth et Coles qui sont les 2 plus gros supermarchés ici et où nous avons acheté de la viande, des légumes, un gâteau et de quoi boire ! Avec Flo nous avons voulu lui faire une surprise et nous lui avons acheté une bougie Bisounours (ouiiiiii, il y a plein de trucs bisounours ici, dont des bougies), des trucs qui font des étincelles quand on les allume et un coffret œuf de pâque Maltesers. Elle était trop contente !!!! C’était trop bon et trop sympas ! On a trop rigolé et on apprend à parler Coréen.

Le 26 matin on est allé en ville : centre d’information, magasins, internet. J’ai acheté 2 livres : un sur les plantes et l’autre les oiseaux australiens. Là il me manque plus que les animaux. Avec Florine on a commencé à regarder les Didgeridoos mais ça reste cher… Alice Springs semble vraiment divisé en 2 parties : celle des aborigènes qui trainent dans les rues à ne rien faire et celle des ‘blancs’ qui travaillent. Très bizarre comme impression. L’après midi avec Flo on a rejoind Damien, un français rencontré à Sydney, et Matt un pote à lui français aussi. On est allé boire une bière dans un pub appelé le Saloon où on peut jeter nos déchets par terre… Bref très typique le pub !!! Puis nous sommes allés au Télégraphe où nous avons trouvé le moyen de perdre notre voiture dans le parking malgré qu’il n’y avait pas beaucoup d’autres voitures…

Le 27 nous sommes allés au Mac Donnell Ranges avec Lisa, Jane, Flo, Damien et Matt. Nous avons vu le Simpson Gap. Puis nous voulions voir le Standley Chasm mais il fallait payer 8$ pour marcher… nous nous sommes contentés d’un pic nic et revenus en ville. De retour à Alice nous avons bu un café avec les garçons, puis fait des courses, revu une dernière fois les allemands qui allaient prendre la route pour Cairns et non Darwin. Nous aurions pu faire un bout de route ensemble à nouveau mais nous devions aller plus vite qu’eux, sachant qu’ils se lèvent tard, déjeunent tard et longtemps…… bref, un rythme différent de nous qui avons tendance à vivre avec le soleil : lever tôt, coucher tôt, petit dejeuner, manger à midi et le soir mais pas n’importe quoi n’importe quand… enfin on essaie, mais à côté d’eux on ne mange rien !!!! C’est dingue !
